Dr. Adnan Alseidi is a gastrointestinal surgeon who specializes in surgical care for conditions involving the liver, bile duct, pancreas and endocrine system. He has particular interests in minimally invasive surgical techniques, spleen preservation techniques, immunology studies and surgery for patients with locally advanced pancreas cancer. He serves as vice chair for education in UCSF's surgery department.
Jane (Jaeyun) Wang, M.D. is currently a general surgery resident with the UCSF Department of Surgery. She completed her undergraduate studies at Northwestern University, where she majored in Neurobiology and graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors. She then attended medical school at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor medical society upon graduation.
Sophia Hernandez, M.D. is a general surgery resident with the UCSF Department of Surgery. She is completing her dedicated research years as a T32 Surgical Oncology Research Fellow in the Maker lab where she is developing novel immunotherapies and delivery systems for the treatment of colorectal liver metastasis. She completed her undergraduate studies at California State University, Fullerton where she earned a degree in Biological Science.
Dr. Fernanda Romero-Hernandez is a general surgery resident at UCSF. She is an International Medical Graduate from Mexico who graduated with honors from Universidad Autonoma de Querétaro in 2017. Following her graduation, she completed a one-year postgraduate research fellowship at the Experimental Surgery Department of Instituto Nacional de Nutrición Salvador Zubiran, where her research on esophageal motility disorders earned her the prestigious Bernardo Sepulveda Research Award in Mexico.
